This year, as in years past, Huntington Beach RACES had their field day at the beach. We set up a generator and a few stations and operated 5A. We're not serious contesters but we are interested in operating under simulated emergency conditions. Field day provides that opportunity and a chance for an eyeball QSO with RACES members and the public. -- WD6AWP
