06/25/2007 | NO8I The Huber Heigths Amateur Radio Club had a great Field Day 2007! Operating from a shelter in a local park, the weather was perfect. Did not break any records but had great camaraderie with fellow club members and visiting amateurs. This is the first year for displaying our new Field Day banner which attracted many passers-by that stopped, curious about the purpose of our event and asked many questions. All were greeted with a welcoming smile, a handshake and an invitation to join us at our next club meeting. Also sparked renewed interest and visits from several expired licensees. We operated CW, SSB, ATV and demonstrated APRS. Looking forward to next years event. -- KA8C
