06/30/2007 | K6XG The Humboldt Amateur Radio Club (Eureka, CA) enjoyed spectacular weather at the Woodley Island Marina. This public location allowed us to host several visitors and get good local media coverage. We operated 2A SSB/CW/GOTA (W6ZZK). We were joined by young Civil Air Patrol Cadets from Santa Rosa, CA Squadron 157 as well as our SF ARRL Section Manager, Bill KH6GJV. We had more operators this year due to successful spring classes that netted four Techs, six General and one Extra upgrades. -- K6XG
