01/03/2008 | W1RO Another great SKN. The music from the old VFO's drifting brought back the memory of heating the shack with a tube type radio. Between the QSB and the drifting VFO's the challenge of ham radio returned. The photo shows the 2 keys used for SKN. Navy Flameproof for the higher speed ops (15 WPM or faster). The switch was used for slower speed contacts. Sometimes the switch was used as a sideswiper and sometimes just pushing it to the left to simulating the the dah contact of a bug!
