This year was something different for me as I never rover during a contest event, yet I was doing it. I started at home CN85 on the N. Oregon Coast and drove straight through to DM79 in the denver area. I worked primarily 144 Mcs, as it is my band of choice, though was set up for 50, 144, 222 and 432. I run a German brick at 600 watts on 144 and a dipole. My total contacts were 200+ and 70 or 71 grids on 144 and a handful of others on other bands. My log is a hand written mess and really bad in places but intend to get it fixed up shortly. Was nice to have a contest for this business trip, it broke up the endless highway. I should also mention, that Wyoming in the winter is just like summer...with the exception in the hours of endless highway are occasionally interupted by a few moments of shear terror...semi-trucks. Some of these drivers should stay in the flat lands! The photo is of w7eme travel gear. Fun contest! -- W7EME
