06/18/2008 | N9PUZ This was the first time I've participated in a VHF contest. Dennis WD9EEK and I operated in Central Illinois as a rover station with pretty modest antennas: We had a 3-element 2 meter beam and a 6 meter dipole. 15 contacts total but an unbelievable amount of fun including 6 meter DX to Mexico! We need to work on antennas for next time, with as few contacts as we made there weren't really too many stations we heard but could not work.
