06/21/2008 | KB0HH Wow, what a great contest!! We had 6 meter propagation for most of the contest, 2 meters was active with tropo and E's, the UHF bands were enhanced for a good deal of time, and the microwave bands were active!! Many thanks for the good ops out there on the fringe for finding us and the Q's. We had a few rovers come near us and many thanks to them . .. KA0KCI, WR0I, and ND5I .. .. ya'll done us real good!!

We added 4 X 19 ele to 222 mhz at 75', moved the 432 MHz to 90', moved all the dishes to a new tower, and added a new operating position to the shack. That makes 4 rotating towers and 4 operating positions at the Bunkhouse. The next additions to the shack will be a real amp for 222 MHz, a larger dish for 2304 MHz, and a cook.

The position for the cook is open and resumes should be sent to KB0HH at his email address! We want smoked beef, hog, and cowboy breakfasts! We had to eat sandwiches for Pete's sake!! The normal cook was busy operating the higher bands and had no time! Many thanks to Miss June for coming by a few times and putting together a quality meal for a bunch of hungry contest ops!!
