Our club is pretty small, so we tend to run FD as individual stations and for most of the club members, only for part of the day Saturday. This year I ran for 24 hours, with a couple of naps and plenty of talking with visitors. WA7NRP set up and operated for 3 or 4 hours. We had a great open, public, location that drew a lot of curious attention! We only had about a half dozen visitors this year, Yet still had a really great time. Mike Johnson, WA7NRP, had the only other radio set up this year, working qrp and attempted a sat. qso. His station is extra portable, maybe 20 minutes to set up and take down. My station took a lot longer ! notice the improvised antenna support mast, and the windshield ice scrapper used for the feed point support! -- AD7LL
