04/18/2002 | K6GT There were actually times (very few) when the CT screen DIDN'T show any IL or IN. My last section for the sweep was NL. I had #79 (SB) at 0700Z Saturday, QSO #533. At 00:00Z Sunday afternoon I still hadn't heard NL, and none had come to me. Then suddenly, on my run frequency there were two new stations, working each other! I announced that the frequency was in use, and I tried to continue my QSO with a K4 which was in progress. Then I noticed that one of the interlopers was VO1JLE, who had obviously been moved there after completing a QSO somewhere up or down from my frequency. I called him several times, and by the time he finished with the other interloper, he had my callsign, and we made the required exchange at 0015, my #984. When he was gone, I completed my QSO with the patient K4 who had waited, obviously amused at what had happened. -- K6GT
