07/03/2008 | W3TUA This was a very laid-back contest effort. Just wanted to shake the dust off the gear and make sure the station is still running smoothly. I always keep a fond ear out for CFARS station (K4MN) of which I operated many FD's while stationed in Fayetteville, NC. I heard them on CW twice and then, just before pulling the plug, I got them on 10-meter SSB. My good friend Leon, N2OYV, was on the mic and it was great hearing him again. 73 to all. Go FRC! -- W3TUA
