07/14/2008 | K2TD The Burlington County Radio Club participated in Field Day at the farm of KA2PRF in Buddtown, NJ. We were class 3A. We had a good turn out, good food, and good fellowship. The weather was hot and there was no rain to speak of. Of course, Murphy struck. The 6 meter coax refused to carry RF to the beam - had to use a low band wire antenna. One of our generators sprung a gas leak. The 6 meter opening on Sunday was great. I worked HF CW for the first time in years - a blast. Lessons learned - the need for better coordination between stations. -- K2QPN
