2008 ARRL Field Day

07/17/2008 | K2USA The Garden State Amatuer Radio Association along with the Fort Monmouth Amateur Radio Club operated from Dean Field, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. Signing K2USA and opearting Clas 1A using a 1000 foot loop Antenna at seventy feet. Our on air time was split between CW, SSB, and PSK-31. Five contacts were also made on Solar Powered CW/QRP. As band conditions were not great we found that Forty Meters was our band of choice with more than half our total contacts made there. This year the weather did favor us, with all thunder storms and rain staying to our west. With light winds and very few bugs, great food and even better friends and members a great time was had by all. Thanks to All Members who help set up, operate, log and tear down. Great Job All.
