07/18/2008 | K5GVL Sabine Valley Amateur Radio Association held Field Day exercise at the Celeste Volunteer Fire Department in conjuction with CVFD's annual fish fry. The SVARA group along with the CVFD had lot's of fun and enjoyment during both events. There was plenty of good fish and fixin's for everyone. It was plenty hot during the set up of equipment and later in the evening just after sunset both groups were activated by the National Weather Service for a severe thunderstorm in the northwestern part of Hunt county. Other than that we made the best of everything and had a good time. -- KE5HMR
