What an experience! We were short staffed with only fourteen people, our city, DeKalb, IL was hit with 80 mph winds and driving rain which actually hit us so hard that it ripped out all six tent stake loops from the CW2 tent! The entire weekend was one rain squall after the next, at least six logging network breakdowns and wind gusts so strong they actually blew equipment completely off the picnic tables in the shelter house operating positions!
The good news? We didn't lose any of our dipole antennas, and the club broke it's all-time Field Day score record!
Never been so proud of our support people and our operators! Magnificent job, folks!!
