07/26/2008 | W3WPA W3WPA operated from Blueberry Hill Park north of Pittsburgh for the second year in a row. Our 3A operation with VHF and GOTA was interrupted by thunder, lightning, and heavy rain both days. Most of our QSO's were made early Sunday morning. Thanks to the Franklin Park festival, which is held the same weekend, we had many visitors interested in ham radio.

W3WPA is now the Allegheny Valley Radio Association. We are a regional contest club accepting membership from anywhere in the ARRL Western Pennsylvania section.
