Eric FP/KV1J and Matthew FP/W1MAT
Operating from the Maxotel on Miquelon Island. The hotel was under new management and we were their first customers.
Matthew started out as QRP but with the crowded band conditions, switched to low power (50 watts). He caught a nice opening on 10M Saturday.
We used verticals and an Off-centered 80 meter dipole that had the center up 6 meters and the ends up only 1 meter. I added extensions for 160 meters that were just laying on the grass to make a few 160M CW QSOs early Sunday morning. I used an IC-7000 and Matthew used an FT-817 with a Tokyo Hi-Power 50W amplifier.
Thanks to FP5CJ for the wonderful hospitality and thanks to all that pulled our little signals out of the crowded bands!
