08/04/2008 | KE4WBO Good conditions saturday and sunday during the contest, not many operators and nothing heard from el94 florida keys,miami el95 other than a 222 repeater from the coral springs area 224680 the west coast of florida from Naples north through Gainesville was very quiet.
Sunday morning i heard on 432 kq4pi in Bushnell,Fl el99, and Van w4vc in Waycross,Ga em81.
I foud the usual uhf stalwarts k4hv,k0vxm,n4tut working 222-1296 with good signals and that was it. Late Saurday evening found wd4mgb el99 on 2m 59 but no copy on 432, even though good copy on the k4hrs/b in el98.
This contest could be more successfull during peak tropo times mid april, and extend times to 2z similar to vhf contest to allow for 2 evenings of propagation,and mor eparticipants as well
