2008 ARRL August UHF Contest

08/06/2008 | W1AUV/R To say I had fun in the UHF contest is an understatement. I always have fun!

I heard a lot of talk about bad conditions on the bands but this is always a more difficult contest. I just accept the challenge and move on. The truth is, on Sunday (Mohawk Mountain in CT) I made some pretty cool contacts. FN31it to FN16qt with 20 watts on 432 CW. That's about 625 km.

Saturday I was on Mt Equinox in VT. The really bad weather seemed to miss me but I guess others were not so fortunate.

The highlight of the contest by far though was hearing AF1T. I'm glad to hear you're doing well Dale.

73 and thanks to all.
Tommy
