10/03/2008 | N0JK Heavy rains across Kansas all weekend (some associated with Hurricane Ike) flooded my portable site in the Flint Hills. So I put in some time from home Saturday evening. The home antenna is a M2 HO loop in the attic. It seemed to work on 2M OK. The KB0HH multi group in Oklahoma had a good signal on both 6 and 2M. Their 2 Meter op reported they had some tropo down into Texas. I noted no E-skip on 6M this year in the contest, unlike the last two years. -- N0JK
