2008 ARRL September VHF Contest

02/12/2009 | N6ZE/ROVER I had very limited operating time, & ran QRP from the West side of the WA/OR coastal mountain ranges. This yield a very minimal score! I actually spent 2 hours in rare grid CN77 and heard nothing at all on late Sunday afternoon. At the start of the contest, from a hilltop in Astoria, OR, the large number of stations on 144.200 +/- 0 made it impossible for me to work much at all. My CN76 location was in Oysterville, WA. However, I did hear 2 meter stations from CN93 to CN89 from that location. Thanks to K3UHF & W7EME for location suggestions. Class: Rover Limited; FT817(2w) & small yagis on 144/432 & a 1/4 wave whip on 50MHz. 56 points total. -- N6ZE
