Intended to only make a few hundred Q's but ended up with over 450. It's always a goal to sweep but for the last 10+ years it's been too hard to devote enough time to make it happen. This year it looked like no sweep again on Saturday, but on Sunday, things changed and began looking up. First, I was able to snag all VE sections except NL and NT and only had a few US sections missing by early afternoon. Then I worked VO1HP and YV1EI within about 1kc and 5 minutes of each other on 20M. They both had good signals and I got each on the 1st or 2nd call. The hard ones for me were EWA and ND. Oh my gosh... ND. What a pain to work. I worked every (0) zero I could hear and only found the one ND station that had the weakest signal I ever heard for high power. Not his fault I'm sure, just one-way prop. I spent over an hour trying and finally got him for the sweep. First sweep in 16 years. Also, I never worked so many MAR, AK and PAC stations as this time around. They were everywhere it seemed .
Had a lot of fun - as usual.
