11/04/2008 | K7FU I have been off the air for a couple of years while changing jobs and qth. So, this year I am in a new house, and have the shack settled in upstairs. I live in a subdivision with CC&R antenna restrictions, but a few months ago I installed my R7 vertical and have not had a single complaint (yet). I got to know my neighbors well first.....

Any way I really enjoy the SS contest and my last effort in 2005 yielded me clean sweeps in both the cw and voice contests with a score over 100000. That was a lot of fun, so when the antenna went up I knew that I would have to give the SS a go. Without my old qth and nice Vee Beam wire antenna I think that I did pretty well. I managed to work 400 qso's, but I did not get the sweep by 1. NL was my downfall. I tried calling him (VO1HP) but the ops would not listen and he moved on, never to be found again....
