11/17/2008 | KI4MUG For a QRP single band guy, it was rough. My last SS was 2006, when I barely got 100 QSO's. This year I only made 80. Conditions were quite different on 20 meters this year. New England didn't start coming in until Sunday afternoon. New York and Pennsylvania were not to be found. The upper midwest was rare. California came in like gangbusters. There was a brief opening after dark last time, but not this year. I did manage to work three new states, including Hawaii. That only leaves Alaska and the states nearest to my QTH for WAS.

Will I do it again? Depends on how patient my wife is. -- KI4MUG
