11/17/2008 | KB0HH It was a good contest for us! It was also good to hear from you VHF guys operating the HF contest. WD0GTY, Jeff,and KC5DPT, Tad, did most of the operating while KB0HH cooked and worked on equipment. The weather was fantastic .. .. no tornadoes, hurricanes, ice storms, or range fires .. .. 70 deg! We missed Puerto Rico for the first time in 3 years. They were heard but not strong enough to work from here.

The menue for the weekend was FF green beans and hamburgers Friday evening, breakfast tortillas Saturday morning, red beans, rice and smoked pork roast Saturday at noon, Bunkhouse stew Saturday evening, breakfast pizza Sunday morning, briskit with salads and corn on the cob Sunday at noon, and more brisket Sunday evening! The cook was busy.
