12/15/2008 | NP3CW The 2008 10M contest was very slow on the first 2 hours with only a total of 8 contacts with 5 locals,two PY and only one LU. Silent band after that and went to bed for a nice sleep.Next morning the band started to open mostly to FL and later some from easterncoast states.Around 75% of my QSO's were in CW.Heard and worked TX,NV,SD,IN,VE,XE and OA among others. Never had propagation to Europe and Africa.
Heard also few locals working the contest like NP3HM,WP4SK.KP4MS and WP4LUU.
Spent around 12 hours Sunday morning on a family activity and during that time there was a good opening to North America.( as usual, when you have good propagation there are other responsabilities,hi,hi)
I ended with 274QSO's, 56 Multi,for a total of 56,224 points. It seems like the bad weather into North America on previous days before the contest was the results of not working more states as on years before.This is one of my favorite contest.Hope for better conditions
