01/02/2009 | WA2BSW It was a lot of fun. Two years ago (2007) was my first attempt at SKN. After so many years of paddles it was a struggle. This year once again I dusted off the old Lafayette Radio straight key and jumped in. I only had five QSOs but enjoyed them immensely and loved just listening to all the different sounding signals and CW with a personality. I used my Argo 5 for three of the contacts and as always it performed well. For some reason I kept pounding the key harder and harder in an attempt to send better code and I am surprised it did not break.

I only used two pieces of vintage equipment, my boyhood straight key and me. See everyone next year.
