01/02/2009 | N2JNZ Many thanks to all who participated !!! The air was alive with the sound of sweet CW music !!! Enjoyed hearing the vintage rigs also. Rig here was a TT Argosy II , 50 watts to a half G5RV for 20 and 15 and a ZeroFive 40m monoband vertical for 40 and 80. Key here was a 1959 Vibroplex Blue Racer bug.

Many thanks go to my club , THE STRAIGHT KEY CENTURY CLUB (SKCC) over 5000 members strong who filled the air with CW !! With our 3rd year in existence we are running special event station K3Y for the month of January. Our club advocates the use of manual keying (bugs, straight keys and sideswipers) for CW. Like the pioneers of amatuer radio and the commercial telegraph use by train companies and early ship to shore stations.
