01/02/2009 | K3Y/8/N8XE During the month of January, The Straight Key Century Club is operating the special event call of K3Y to celebrate our third anniversary. I had so much fun operating K3Y/8 and working a pileup for 4 hours. What a rush! I also got the chance to work some folks under my own call when I was not scheduled for the event call.

Hearing all of the great fists and old radios was a real joy. Most of the time I used my Navy Flameproof or my 1960s Blue Racer. I forgot how much fun the Flameproof is to use.

I hope to obtain an older rig and restore it so that on some SKN, I too can drift and chirp! HI! Thanks for a great time.
