2009 ARRL Straight Key Night

01/02/2009 | KL8DX I have been involved in the SKCC club for nearly a year now and I have really enjoyed using my Straight Keys! Needless to say, I like many others, were waiting for SKN since last January.

The bands were not the greatest but my 24 hour SK activity involved QSO's with the following stations;

K3Y/7, K7GA, K3Y/8, K7PEH, KE4RQ, W4CYF, W9EHU, KD8GZ, W3RT, W1EJ, K3Y/0, K3Y/6, K3Y/5 and W5GXV.

My vote for best fist and QSO goes to Jeff, K7GA. With the last name of Morse, you gotta love code, right? Very interesting to learn about Jeff's key his activities.

This was my second SKN and I will be looking forward to the next. January SKN only comes around once a year but I'm glad I have the SKCC club to keep me in practice for the next one.

I operated with my Navy Flameproof pictured here.

73,
Phil
