01/04/2009 | WB9DLC I always look forward to SKN one of my favorite events. What a great way to start a new year!

In the past I would setup one of my vintage rigs but this year I was just too lazy. It is always great to hear all of the activity, the home-brew rigs, the vintage rigs (complete with clicks, chirps, and drifting), and all of the great fists.

This is also a great way to make some new FISTS and SKCC contacts. Both great organizations that promote the use of CW and help make CW more fun and interesting. (www.fists.org and www.skccgroup.com )

I made only 18 QSOs but all were nice ragchews. Thanks to all who participated and thanks to the ARRL for sponsoring this great event!
