01/04/2009 | K3Y/8 K8UV Another geat SKN night! Started at 05:00 UTC (midnight EST) and sent my SKCC special event call K3Y/8. Made several SKCC contacts and a couple of non-member contacts too. Used my J-38 bought back in the 70's for 25cents at a thrift store in St Johns, Oregon. Still works as good as it did in my novice days. Also a British WWII Mark III straight key and when the other op used a bug, my Viboplex WWII Army Signal Corp. J-36 June 23. 1942 S# 378.
