01/04/2009 | N3MVX As always I had a great time operating SKN. The bands were alive with the sound of CW and at a speed I could copy. It was hard to find a clear spot on 40 and 80 meters that didnt have the sound of slow, well sent CW. The K3Y stations from the SKCC club were active and helped contribute to the great fists being heard on the bands. Thanks to the great folks at SKCC well sent CW sent with a straight key can be found on the bands daily.

During this event I thought it only fitting to bring out my oldest key, a Western Electric, Lewis key form the late 1800s. It is well worn which reflects its many years of use long before I came to own it. -- N3MVX
