01/05/2009 | N2COP Three Dog Night was wrong: "One Is Not the Loneliest Number..." Like many people, New Year's Eve night and even New Year's Day had family and friends parading through our home for visits. It was 2300 UTC when I finally sat at my Ten-Tec Argonaut 516 and heard Gordon, W3GK, calling CQ SKN on 80. I replied with my Kent hand key and we had about three exchanges before my XYL honked her car horn from the garage to let me know she had a slew of groceries to be dragged into the kitchen. Darn - only one QSO for SKN. But it was still very rewarding and fun. Even if you can only make one QSO., SKN is still worth it. It would be fun to have a mid-year SKN Part II.
