2009 ARRL Straight Key Night

During the 2009 SKN I worked near to 5 hours. The first two contacts were with my friend Luis KP4ED in 10 and 15 meters band. the third was with Angelo IK5TUZ in Italy.The rest of contacts were from U.S.A.on the 20 meters band and included Greg N5SQL in TX, Leo W1LVT in VT,Ted W1TPB in MA,W9QZ in IN and Richard AB6TY in CA.
Had some QRN on frequency but signals were between 559 to 599.
The rig was IC-746 PRO, antenna was a Log Periodic T6 from Tennadyne and an old Navy knob from WW II that belonged to my Elmer Victor KP4NM who is a SK for near 14 yrs and his XYL Alejandrina NP4TQ kindly gave me his Navy knob key.So every time I use it on SKN or any other event with straight key I do it on his memmory.
In total I made only 13 QSO's but enjoyed each one of them . Thanks to all the operators that were active during this activity and for the wonderful sound of CONTINUOUS WAVE.
