01/20/2009 | KC2QZF/R KC2QZF/R worked as a limited rover in Western NY Section. We traveled to 6 grids and worked several additional. Thanks to Gary N2WLS my co-pilot, 2M op, and ace logger who managed to keep up thru a couple of (almost) pile-ups. Thanks to Kevin K9KVN for the loan of the 6M yagi. It worked great. Thanks to the K2QO rover team of Mark and Paul W2TAU for the motivation! Thank you to all the stations we worked on SSB and FM, and finally thanks to the Onondaga County snowplow driver who was kind enough to wait for us to move so he didn't have to push us into the ditch! We lost one of the elements from our 2M yagi somewhere along the way so if you find it stuck in your tire, it's not ours. -- KC2QZF
