01/20/2009 | N8QE 6 & 2 meter band conditions were really poor for the entire contest. On top of that we had sub zero temperatures, and lots of snow on the ground causing frozen rotor complaints by many. Lots of local Northeast Ohio activity was there. I didn't detect one E's opening the entire contest. After I worked all the locals on Saturday afternoon, and Sunday morning, I ended up watching the AFC & NFC playoff games Sunday since the band conditions were so poor.
