02/23/2009 | WA5MUF The 2009 ARRL DX contest was a lot of fun on good old CW. I was happy to contact C4N during the contest. C4N is in Cyprus, looking over the beautiful blue waters of the Mediterranean sea. C4N is Alex's, 5B8AD, contest call sign. I was also happy that ten meters opened up for a least a little time which allowed me to work PJ2T down in Curacao, Netherlands Antilles on ten meters. Not only did I work PJ2T on ten, but also on 80, 40, 20 and 15 as well. No wonder the location down in the Netherlands Antilles has been referred to as having an "almost magical" propagation. All my contacts were enjoyable, but now I have to get my paper logs in order and organized and mailed......I still like to do it the old-fashioned way!
