02/23/2009 | K0BJ What a delight 160 was the first night. With 100w, inv L and no rx antenna I don't have much of a DXCC total on 160 (about 60) but I have limited success into the Pacific and Asia. Well, some EU stations were armchair copy Friday night and I logged a number of new band countries. I was wondering how I'd be able to stay up Saturday night, but the magic was over... what a dfference. Sunday morning 0530 local it was back to fairly good.

1/3 K QSOs -- as usual, plenty of non-contest distractions including church choir and orchestra concert Sunday. Interesting how good the high bands sounded after the obviously low-absorption lowband condx opening night. -- K0BJ
