03/11/2009 | KB0HH The contest was fun as usual. There were extra events in the area that kept things interesting! A range fire near the Bunkhouse burned a great amount of stored hardline and antennas. A tornado passed to the north of us on Saturday evening causing the low bands to be unworkable. The receiver noise was 30 over. Our score was 200K better than last years entry. The crew worked all night on Friday while conditions were great. The crew members were: Dave-KA0KCI, Tad-KC5DPT, RL-KD0EZV, Lisa-KE5HQR, George-ND5I, Gary-KB0HH. The cook kept us happy with Bunkhouse Ribs and Loin, Bunkhouse Red Beans and Rice, Bunkhouse Baked Beans, Bunkhouse Stew, Bunkhouse Breakfast Burritos, and much more.
