2009 ARRL June VHF Contest

06/15/2009 | N5XTR I usually operated this contest as a rover but this year I worked it from home. I put up my 2m and 70cm 11 element yagis and rotator on a 20 foot telescoping mast and a 6m vertical dipole on a 13 foot pvc mast.
6 meters was where the contest was at for me as it was open to the east and northwest for the majority of the contest. I worked many good operators and lots of new grids. My QTH is in DM83 so I hope to get some QSL's in the mail soon. 6 meters died out for me with 4 hours left in the contest and then a big wind storm came and blew over my yagis. I had more fun working this contest from home than I ever did as a rover... it was cheaper also. 73 to all from Joel N5XTR in DM83! -- N5XTR
