06/15/2009 | KQ6EE First time did contest in Colorado and 14er. I drove to Pike Peak (14000+') in Sat. morning thinking it started at 11:am (old Pacific time). But it should start at 12:00 noon (mountain time). My grid square was DM 78. I drove down at about 1:30 pm because of having other family activity. Such as experience. I operated 2m, 220, 432. Radios were ft817, Ic-T81a and Alinco 220 radio. It is probably this is the lowest score on QRP and I have fun at 14er. May be next time can stay longer and better prepare.
