The best 6m Es openings occurred late Saturday afternoon & early evening. Sunday did not yield much for me on 6m DX. Of note, the only double hop Es noted was to HI. I heard nothing else at double hop distance, nothing north of CO90 nor East of EN09. Operating from the CA home QTH is always difficult with low antennas and mountains or nearby hills in all directions. Nice to hear a bunch of Rovers. More than a dozen operators from my local radio club (Ventura Co. Amateur Radio Society) got on the air to add to the SoCal activity levels. Toughest QSO to complete: W6YLZ/R on 6m CW in CM95 just before end of contest. My score was noticeably lower than last year due to fewer 6m Es openings noted.
