01/10/2010 | K2BOG My grandaughter 10 year old Stephanie Chalef has operated her grandfathers station K2BOG, before but never spoke to kids her age.
This was a wonderful opportunity and boy did she enjoy it. One contact alone with WA3EKL gave Stephie an opportunity to speak to 7 kids from 5 to 14 years old. Stephanie has built a code practice kit and has the General License hand book. This year she hopes to participate from her own station. Stephanie and kids like her are the future of Amateur Radio.
