06/29/2009 | WI9MRC The Milwaukee Repeater Club held it's annual Field Day Exercise at Whitnall Park in Milwaukee Wisconsin. I have always enjoyed working the voice station for the club and this year was no different. This year we had a few others working voice and we may be developing some serious contesters. There were many families that visited the site this year. We combined the summer picnic with Field Day so there was plenty of food to go around. We operated 3A plus a GOTA station (K9VS) and made approximately 507 Voice contacts, 384 CW, and 135 digital contacts. A great time was had by all! -- N0XXL
