06/30/2009 | NC4CS Hello from NC4CS, the Carolina Shine contest club in Arapahoe, NC. We unveil what we refer to as the Dump Tower. The Dump Tower is the creation of one of our members, Bill Olah, KR4LO. Bill came up with a design to attach a 40 tower to his dump truck, using the bed of the truck to raise and lower the tower. With 3 guy points, a bit of muscle and a Chevy truck, the tower was easily raised and lowered. An Cushcraft A3S and rotor were attached to the top of the tower.

Two of our ladies, Donna Had and Eliza Aaron, KJ4HNB, assisted by Control operator Jerry Hott, K4TOT, create a tremendous pile-up as they call for help from the boys. Come on boys, we are in the swamps of Carolina, and need to beat our husbands! Help us out now And no, the proper phonetics for NC4CS is not North Carolina 4 Carolina Sugars
