This year in addition to the routine activities we added an ARRL/VEC Exam Session. The highlight: Wesley, 9 years of age, the youngest of an ALL-HAM family passed his Technician exam. A few hours later he and his family attended the Field Day! The 2009 FD was held in the same grounds where a Dog Show attracted more than 4000 dog owners. This joint activity brought a record breaking flow of visitors (and their dogs). They left the grounds with brochures and information about ham radio and the role of amateurs during emergencies and disasters.
