06/30/2009 | KB8O This was a action packed Field Day this year for 2009. I decided to run it from W8EVB along with the help from K8SCG Dave. We set up in Amherst Ohio at the home QTH of W8EVB Eric . We ran a 3-E station this year on a Generator and Batteries . Eric and Dave mostly worked digital and phone , and I took cw . All around the conditions were very good on the HF bands for us . We didn't see much action on 10 or 6m except for the locals , but the lower bands made up for it . I managed to work HI and AK about 2AM on 20m which was kinda late for us . We used all wire dipoles at about 40-50 feet . All in all it was a good weekend full of radio !
