KF4L
The Clarksville Amateur Transmitting Society set up at the East Montgomery County Fire Station in their pavilion. This year is was in 100 degree heat and threatening thunderstorms. During the operation we had visitors from the Montgomery County Emergency Management agency's Community Emergency Response Team coordinator Geoff Armistead. After seeing our operation he wants to join our club and begin the process of getting his HAM license. The Leaf-Chronicle (Tennessee's oldest newspaper) sent out their multimedia reporter Beth Leggett Cogbill who posted her report on-line and in the print media. We have the multimedia link on the home page of www.kf4l.org. On hand was a copy of the Amateur Radio Week Proclamation for the State of Tennessee. -- KX6F
