07/02/2009 | W1NY Frandy, N1FJ and I (WB1DBY) worked 3 on, 3 off on 20 cw and 80 cw. With that schedule we pretty much kept the station on the air for the full 24 hours minus a 2 hour thunder storm. We also cooked our own food, away from the clubs food (but made us much less social) and ate when hungry and had munchies & fruit nearby all the time. Thus way we kept the station on the air w/o breaks. For us two, that added up to a unbelievable (for us non-contesters) 610 contacts. A new high for both of us and a good 160 more than last year!

Now the wait for next year! I hope he can get his new Elecraft K3 built in time!
