We operated as 1B from one of our family farms near Albany, Kentucky. My twin brother, Patrick, KR4GT helped me with operating duties. Our transceiver was an Icom 718. We used my ladder-line fed multiband dipole, and Patrick's 10 meter mobile antenna. The Yamaha generator worked great for keeping the fans running and the computers computing. We managed just over 100 contacts. The propagation this year seemed to be pretty good. The 10 meter band had some nice openings to the west coast early on Sunday moring, around 2:00 A.M. local time. We heard Hawaii coming in strong on 15 meters early Sunday morning as well, but we not able to make a contact. It was also nice to hear W1AW on several bands as well. Thanks to all the operators who were able to work us. I hope to be on the air for the IARU contest, and November Phone Sweepstakes. 73, and best of luck to all.
